Hey….guys, did you check my ‘favourite-ever winter outfits’ post! Well.. if not you can read it here! So, coming back to today’s post, I was thinking I’d do a feature post on Beret, but let’s keep it for the next time. Today, I specifically want to talk about Tartan clothes (my preferred choice of term) for workwear.

Specified with the outmoded profound characters, tartan patterns are one of my favorites; Counting with opulent maroons and thick yellows, Tartans mainly instigated in woven wool, but now they are prepared in numerous other ways. Tartan is predominantly connected with Scotland and is often known as plaid in the United States.

Basically tartan is a pattern comprising of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical groups (known as warp and weft respectively) in numerous colors. The weft is woven in twill weave under the warp, progressing one yarn each time. The resultant ‘’color repeat pattern’’ vertically and horizontally in a unique manner is known as a set. Generally, red and black tartan pattern on lounge wear and casual outfit is very popular, but this season, various major brands displayed their collection where they combined usual tartan with divergent features.

As people are returning to proper workspaces and offices after the longtime ‘work from home’ scenario’; ideas about latest fashion and trends have completely changed. More and more people are opting for comfort over fashion but keeping the style quotient in mind. Vintage trends are making a strong comeback and tartan print tops the list

In the 90s plaid and tartan were more of an apprehensive addition to your closet – (think vintage tartan dresses) but these days the print has been perfected in many ways emerging as a bit more contemporary moreover, the contrasting hues and other unusual tartan patterns make it diverse from the usual old trend.  All these factors make tartan/plaid an impeccable choice to add to your work wardrobe.
